  Work has begun on the Fall 2022 edition of The Luminous. Submissions are now open to homeschooled students ages 11-18 for written works, photography, and artwork to be included in the ninth edition. All submissions must adhere to our submission guidelines . Please review them carefully and submit your work through the email address provided. The deadline for submission is November 21, and the issue will be published in December 2022. Thank you for supporting The Luminous. We look forward to seeing your work!

We sincerely hope you enjoy this publication as much as we have enjoyed creating it. There are two ways to view the magazine. The Luminous Literary Magazine will be holding a short story, prompt-based contest for the next issue!   We are so excited to present this opportunity to young writers. The Prompt: “Let the invasion of the laundromat commence!” The Details: The contest is open to homeschool students ages 11 through 18. When submitting for the contest, we ask that writers abide by our  standard submission guidelines .   Because this is a creative writing contest and different from our typical submissions, our magazine will be accepting entries until  May 1, 2022 . There will be prizes! The first-place winner will receive both first written-work placement in our magazine and a free printed copy of the seventh edition! Runners-up  may  be published in  a special contest section of the magazine. To be considered for the contest, please indicate it is an entry for the contest within your submission email.  The winner will receive an email from our magazine, before publishing, to arrange the details of the w
